Syed Raza

Syed Raza, a seasoned financial expert in the Automobile industry, has risen to senior executive roles through his insightful understanding of business and finance. Parallel to his corporate achievements, Baqar is deeply committed to mental health advocacy, focusing on the well-being of professionals, senior citizens, and youth.

Syed’s journey in the Automobile sector showcases his ability to blend financial leadership with a keen awareness of mental wellness in the workplace. His advocacy extends to promoting mental health among senior citizens, recognizing the need for emotional support and well-being in later life stages. Additionally, Syed is passionate about empowering the youth, equipping them with the mental resilience and leadership skills necessary for future success.

Ali Jafri

Ali Jafri stands out as a seasoned expert in mental health and behavioral sciences, with a rich background that includes significant experience at PriceWaterHouse Coopers (PwC). His diverse roles in consulting and strategic development have provided him with a deep understanding of the critical role positive attitudes play in both personal and professional settings. This insight is a result of his extensive experience across various industries, where he observed the profound impact of mindset on performance and well-being.

With a foundational interest in linguistics and behavioral science, Ali has devoted his career to exploring and applying these principles to enhance mental wellness. He has developed innovative strategies and courses aimed at cultivating positive mindsets, thereby boosting productivity and personal development. His approach is practical and tailored to everyday challenges, making it accessible and impactful.

Ali is also a Certified Practitioner .of the Personality & Preference Inventory program (PAPI), a psychometric tool developed by Cubiks, part of PA Consulting. This certification underscores his commitment to applying scientific and analytical methods to understand and improve mental health and workplace dynamics.

Today, Ali Jafri is a recognized leader in the realm of mental health and positive attitude development. His unique blend of experience at PwC, expertise in behavioral sciences, and certification in PAPI positions him as a pivotal figure in advancing mental wellness as a key driver of success and fulfillment in life. His vision and methods are invaluable to any mental health initiative, aiming to create environments where mental well-being is a priority.

Dr. Naweed Syed

Dr. Naweed Syed, a notable neuroscientist and professor at the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, is recognized for developing the world’s first neurochip. His Ph.D. from the University of Leeds underpins his extensive research in brain development, plasticity, and anesthetics’ effects. Dr. Syed’s work offers significant insights into mental well-being, emphasizing the potential of neurotechnology in understanding and enhancing cognitive functions. His academic contributions include over 130 research papers, and he has been honored with awards like the Canada-150 Medal for his contributions to neuroscience and mental health research.

Dr. Mark Michalski

Dr. Mark Michalski, who once graced the faculty of George Washington University, now contributes his profound expertise to The Busch School of Business. Dr. Hassan Abbas

Dr. Hassan Abbas is a Distinguished Professor of International Relations at the Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies, focusing on South Asia and the Middle East. He holds a Ph.D. from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, and has studied at institutions including Harvard Law School and Columbia University. His academic and professional work, dedicated to countering extremism and promoting legal reforms, positions him as an expert in developing strategies that enhance public understanding of mental health issues within the context of security and political stability.

Dr. Farkhanda Shamim

Dr. Farkhanda Shamim, a distinguished academic leader with a PhD in International Economic Development from Nagoya University, is committed to leadership, strategic planning, and philanthropy. Her academic journey, including a Master of Arts from the same institution, has deeply influenced her approach to educational leadership—particularly during times of change—with a strong focus on strategies centered around student needs.

Her professional journey encompasses roles across North America, the Middle East, and South Asia, where she has excelled in creating and implementing innovative programs for lifelong learning. These programs are designed to be impactful and meaningful, often in partnership with leading universities for significant research projects.

Dr. Shamim’s broad expertise includes integrating various information sources, setting strategic long-term goals, and managing outcomes with precision. Her projects often involve establishing strong academic connections worldwide and creating alliances that support academic needs and objectives. With over two decades of growth in areas like negotiation, conflict resolution, and the internationalization of education, her skill set is robust.

Dr. Shamim is known for her ability to create dynamic, supportive, and collaborative educational environments. Her exceptional interpersonal abilities and extensive cross-cultural experiences enable her to communicate effectively with diverse groups. Her vast knowledge also supports her dedication to enhancing awareness of mental health and advocating for mental health support in educational contexts.

Dr. Pargat Singh Bagga

Dr. Pargat Singh Bagga has been part of the academic and media community for over 45 years, combining academic achievements with cultural pursuits. His academic journey began early, leading up to his Ph.D., and has guided the community’s trajectory. Currently, he serves as Chairman of Punjab Pavilion Inc. of Carabram in Brampton and the Canadian Punjabi Council in Burlington.

Despite his significant academic accomplishments, Dr. Bagga has also thrived as a prolific freelance writer in Canada and India. He has published articles and columns on cultural, historical, and contemporary matters in local newspapers to inform the public and stimulate conversation. His expertise in Punjabi literature has led him to present academic papers at seminars across India and North America, enriching their discussions with his profound knowledge.

Dr. Bagga is also a well-known poet whose works have been featured on All India Radio and Doordarshan in Jalandhar. His career reflects a lifelong dedication to understanding and promoting mental development and wellness in diverse communities.

Umar Butt

Umar Butt holds a Master’s in Marketing Management from the University of Luton, Bedfordshire, UK. With 22 years as a Financial Services Manager and more than 2 years as a Realtor, Umar has a rich professional background. He is profoundly dedicated to self-improvement and advocating for mental health.

Umar’s passions extend to helping others realize and achieve their dreams. His interests are diverse, ranging from music and psychology to spirituality, geopolitics, and quantum physics. This unique blend of interests fuels his approach to personal and professional life, promoting a holistic view of self-development.

Committed to mental well-being, Umar leverages his expertise to support and empower individuals, particularly focusing on men’s mental health. Alongside his advocacy, he runs a successful real estate business, providing expert guidance to clients seeking their dream homes and investment properties. Umar’s multifaceted career and personal interests underscore his dedication to promoting mental health and personal growth.

Zainab Raza, a recent graduate of the University of Toronto with a degree in Public Policy, is dedicated to raising mental health awareness. Her experience in the non-profit sector and leadership in student-led projects have solidified her values of diversity. She is enthusiastic about increasing awareness of mental health issues among young people and combating the stigma, particularly within older generations and POC communities.

Zainab is focused on creating community spaces where women feel empowered, youth are actively involved, and mental health can be openly discussed. Her commitment to these goals aims to provide safe environments where conversations can happen freely and the importance of mental health is acknowledged by all.
